Forum ALF - Industrial Challenges in Portugal (20th April)

Organised yearly by ALF since 2006, the Forum which will take place on the 20th of April 2017 is dedicated to the subject 'Industrial Challenges in Portugal' and will gather government memberls, businessmen and managers of several different activities and sectors in a wide debate regarding the future, tendencies and challenges which the Industrial sector is faced with.

 

Paulo Pinheiro, ALF's president, explains that the main reason for the choice of this subject has to do with «the fact that the Industrial sector has an ever greater role in the socioeconomic development of our country, namely, through traditional sectors which are growing in highly competitive markets and ensuring the satisfaction of national demand, increasing the national added value.». And adds: «In this Forum we will give our contribute to the discussion of new business models, of the role of innovation and the importance of financing for the industrial development and the internationalisation of companies».

 

ALF's Forum which will take place at the Belém Cultural Centre at 2.30 pm, will count with the participation of Manuel Caldeira Cabral, Minister of the Economy, Paulo Portas, vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Luís Miral Amaral (Industry Council), António Brochado Correia (PwC), Ângelo Ramalho (Efacec's CEO), António Portela (Bial's CEO), Eduardo Rocha (CEO of Fundo Vallis Sustainable Investiments I), Fortunato Frederico (Portuguese Footwear, Components, Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association), César Araújo (Portuguese National Association for the Clothing Industry), Rafael Campos Pereira (Portuguese National Association for Metallurgical, mechanical Engineering, Electrical and similar activities Industries).
