ALF and ISCTE partners in research and internships

 

 

The Portuguese Leasing, Factoring and Renting Association (ALF) and the ISCTE Business School have just signed a cooperation protocol which will contribute towards the development of academic research in the area of specialised financing and allow internships for students with its 36 members.

 

"With this partnership, the ALF wishes to contribute towards the technical, economical and social development of financial leasing, factoring and renting, and the formalisation of this collaboration is a way to give shape to its mission", stresses Paulo Pinheiro, ALF's president.

 

In the last year, ALF was responsible for the organisation of seven trainning sessions for 154 trainees from 39 companies from all over the country, dedicated to topics like the new legislation which changed registrations with the Vehicle Registry Office, the prevention of documentation fraud and anti-fraud inquiry techniques. Moreover, it developed 4 regional seminars regarding specialised financing in the cities of Viseu, Loulé, Braga and Leiria for 241 participants from 154 companies in total.

 

 

Besides the specific areas of research and internships, the protocol contemplates teaching and training activities, access to libraries and information networks, as well as the joint organisation of events, contributing to a more dynamic sector which in the first quarter of this year alone, was responsible for investments of 543 million euros through Leasing, for taking credits with the value of 5.4 billion euros through Factoring and for acquiring 5.939 new vehicles through Renting.
